Yawn! Happy Monday everyone! I think I am going to have to admit that I may never be a weekend warrior. I did absolutely awesome with my goals this weekend and the weight loss is there to prove it. This morning I weighed 256.4lbs. That is down from post-TOTM weight of 263.4lbs last Monday. I almost expect to start the bounce back up a few now since I have lost about a pound a day for the past three days.

I got all the housework done that I wanted to do. Now tonight and tomorrow my dad & his gf will be at the house. We are having a cookout with them this evening including ***food porn:burgers, hot dogs, homemade potato salad & baked beans. Oh gosh, I just drooled on my keyboard! On a side note...I am anxious to try these Fat Free Ball Park Beef Franks. They only have 50 calories compared to 190!! in one standard Ball Park Beef Frank. They will be on the grill. And to me any hot dog all darkened on a grill has to be a good thing. I will let you know tomorrow how they are. ... Don't let me forget the dessert (for son's bday) strawberry shortcake with home baked angel food cake, fresh strawberries & cool whip.

Oh, BTW, is lent over now? Can I stop putting the diet coke in my goals? I don't drink any soda anymore anyway except maybe a sip from my hubby's when I take it to him (and it's diet then too).

Health / Fitness Goals...
1. 100 oz water daily
2. No Diet Coke (lent)
3. No salt added to the plate
4. Less than 50% carbs
5. 5000 calorie deficit (may be tough with 2 days off work)
6. Shred 4 times minimum
7. Weigh and post it M: 256.4lbs,

Life Goals...
1. Get another forsynthia bush hacked off
2. Enjoy Monday/Tuesday with Dad
3. Read something not on the internet 2hrs this week (doesn't have to be all at once)
4. Take girls for a walk (gotta get Chloe better on leash before camping)

Jho ... Congrats on the loss! You worked hard for it!!

Quinn ... Oh Gosh! Good luck holding to one dessert at that dinner this week.

Cassie ... Thank you for keeping up with me & my son last week. It's funny how I forget to update when things are going well with us. ... Hope your weekend momentum sticks!! Mine too

Hope ... I hope this is a better week for you.

Mandy ... Stick with it! You can do it. Even if you aren't making your goals it helps to post about it.

Mike ... I don't think I said anything yet, but nice bike! I'm more of a Harley type of girl myself but I know if my boys get bikes when they are older they will be your style. That is what they look at when we go to the 'toy stores'.

Anyone heard from Amy? or Mern?

Congrats Jho! Nice to see you stepping up to 80oz of water. Hint hint.

I'm in, will probably use same goals from last week. I'll post more later.

Wow, special congrats to all off you who showed a marked improvement on your scale numbers. Well done!

Returned to exercise today with no pain. Scale jumped a ton--9.5 lbs. since 3-18, so I'm hoping a whole darned lot of it is water retention. But a few pounds could definitely be added fat weight as I fell off the wagon horribly this past weekend. Time to straighten up and fly right.

Goals this week

Eat Clean Pact: No junk except pork rinds and 2 pcs. sugar free candy per day
Calorie limit 1500
Carbs less fiber limit 25g
Fiber average 25g per day
Cholesterol average under 300mg
Saturated fat average 12% or less of total calories
Water 64 oz. YES
Exercise 5 days YES

Default Stay Focused!!!

I did not do so good last week - the scale is up 2 nasty lbs so it is time to get the focus on and kick-some-butt this week! I need to be okay with feeling hungry for a while – especially when there is food readily available like when working from home and on the weekends. Then is when I am going over on cals, being snacky…

Easter Sunday is coming up – so I really need to stick to my goals for the next 6 days so that I can have a semi-guilt-free Sunday. I have lots of family coming in Sunday, plus kids Easter egg hunt and luncheon on Saturday with friends. Oye…

Nutrition/Exercise
1. Water 70oz per day.
2. Cals under 1500.
3. Pre-log food.
4. Keep portions small.
5. Only 1 piece of chocolate after dinner. No food after that.
6. Workout 2x at gym. Exercise at home non-gym nights.
7. Stay positive!

Eat Clean Pact – Forbidden Foods (REVISED)
1. No packaged sweets (cookies, candy bars, etc.).
2. No donuts or bagels.
3. No soda.

Katy – I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. Big hug to you… stay strong lady…

Mike – NICE BIKE!!! I bet you had a fast and furious weekend…!

Cassie - Great goals! Love the re-pot plant goal. Mine are so suffering from neglect...

Jho and April – GREAT WORK!!!! The incredible shrinking Ladies!

Mandy – I dropped off last week too, but this week is all about focus! Love that you’re a biology major! I am a Biologist/Environmental Scientist and love my work!

Nobe – You met your mini-goal!!!! Congratulations!

Tunnrida – No bread or potatoes – great goals!

Hope – Love the positivity goal! Sometimes it is hard to remember to do so… just added this to my list!

Quinn – Six dessert tables???!!! One dessert goal sounds great – you can totally do it!

My inspiration for the week is from Oprah, who once said something similar to this on her show…
Hunger is the feeling you get when your body is eating your thighs, love that feeling!”
I love Oprah.

Happy Monday! Ama
For fellow space junkies (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amalthea_(moon) )

Age 39, Height 5’6”
Short term goal: Fit into my favorite old Levis 515’s – and still be able to breathe. Wore them out to a restaurant Sunday and had to unbutton when sitting down…
Short term goal #2: Be able to wear a swim suit this summer and not feel like I need to suck in my stomach all the time. (8lbs to go + a miracle suit)
Long term goal: Live a healthy lifestyle; physically, mentally and spiritually.

I'm in this week.

Goals are few so here goes

1. Stay below 1250 per day
2. Get off my *** more often and do something, anything energetic.
3. Finish my TEFL course - nearly there.
4. Give myself a pedicure.

I've had a wobbly couple of weeks, injured my back and gave into self pity eating as well as having a lot of social gatherings where I overindulged. I have just over 3 weeks until I go away for a long weekend where I hope the weather will be good enough to hit the pool, and I don't want to make a huge splash this year. So big breath and take the plunge right back into it. Ok that's all the pool metaphors done now.

Change of plans for tonights dinner. Heading out to Longhorn instead of grilling at home. Menu shopping now for what I will be ordering.

Oh and I just did 2.25 miles in 38 minutes. Not too shabby for a fat chick! LOL
