Default New and fighting breast cancer

Hello, I was diagnosed with breast cancer Oct. 2010, and finished my treatments in May of 2011. I saw my oncologist yesterday everything looks good but one thing....My weight. I HAVE to lose weight if I want to stay healthy and live a long life. I decided this am to start today by eating healthy and to keep a journal of my food an calories. I was looking for the amount of calories in blueberries and found this site, It is just what I needed. My goal is to log everything I put in my mouth and post on here every day. I am looking forward to a healthy life.

Welcome! You have come to the right place and congratulations on your ability to overcome Cancer! Yay! Logging your food will become your "steady" throughout your weight loss. As long as I log, and am honest about my log, I know I will prevail.

I've found this site much easier to use than other sites as far as being able to log things like produce. For a few produce items you might have to find the nutrition data and create a custom food but this is the best site overall to use if you have a food scale.

Default congrats

Congratulations, Littlesher on being a survivor! I am a twelve year survivor of my first bout and three year for my recurrence. I, too, was told weight control is important. Were you ER+? We can do this! I find having to enter everything I eat is motivation in itself. Sometimes, I ask if it is worth eating this or that because I will have to look up the calories and enter it. A lot of times, the answer is no, it is too much trouble, so I opt for a glass of water. I think those of us on aromatose inhibitors might have a little more trouble than if we didn't have to take it (just my experience from talking to people) but steady and sure wins the race. Best wishes and will be thinking of you!
