Mike, hope you can get back on track with your food. Try to eat some veggies.

I got in some extra exercise just out of boredom with not being on the computer or having the TV on--marched in place and walked around the house while listening to Beatles and Beach Boys music on my Hannah Montana mp3 player. LOL

Mern, I might not be able to turn it around but I won't let it get any worse. Thanks.

Mike, not letting it get any worse is a good thing.

Pam! Wow! Congrats on a job well done, especially for 1st in your age group! You must be so proud and you certainly have every right to be! So did you get a trophy or prize money or ribbon or something?

A ribbon... it is a pretty low budget operation. We couldn't stay for the awards ceremony this evening. Had to drive back. But they will send it in the mail.

Yup, feelin' pretty full of myself. (And now that I am home thinking, maybe 2 high-test beers on an empty stomach may have not been such a good idea, but dinner is on the way.) DH left me "podium beers" in the fidge (since he couldn't be here) 3 beers called Little Sumpin' Sumpin ale. An outstanding beer from Lagunitas brewery.

Thanks y'all

Saturday Report

Overage is due to a huge hunk of chicken breast and three teaspoons of horseradish sauce to dip it in after I was knowingly at about my 1600 calorie limit. Way over in cholesterol, but I'm usually well under, so am not very concerned about it. Am hoping since I was so high in protein and just a wee bit over in carbs the scale will forgive me. It was a choice, I don't regret it.

Calorie limit 1600 daily 1571, Guessing around 2200, 1518, 1572, 1269, 1853
Net carbs limit 25g daily 22.3g, Don't know--way up there, exactly 25g, 24.7g, 27.2g, 27.5g
Fiber target 25g average 33g, Likely not enough, 27g, 25g, 14g, 25g
Protein target 120g average 121g, Maybe 80g, 135g, 161g, almost made it at 119g, 238g--yeah, two hundred thirty-eight
Saturated fat average 12% or less 11%, Don't know, 12%, 11%, 13g, only 8%
Cholesterol average 300mg or less 171mg, I'm sure that one was a green number, 285mg, 288mg, 202mg, a whopping 433mg BUT AVERAGE FOR THE WEEK IS A REALLY GOOD 230mg so far

Veggies/fruit 5 servings per day YES, YES, YES, YES, YES, YES
Exercise 5 days YES, YES, YES, scheduled day off, YES, YES plus some extra (unusual for me
Water 60 oz. YES, NO, YES, NO, NO-forgot, NO, DARN IT--I KEEP FORGETTING

Something wonderful--had a wonderful visit with our three week old great-granddaughter. Made me feel good that she was crying and was calmed by my rocking her and talking to her. Great-granny's still got it!
