She's been telling my bro. that he needs to have "the talk" with my nephew, but my bro. pretty much kept kept ignoring her saying "he's only 10, it can wait". Well DN came in one day and said "Mama, I have some questions about the S-E-X (he spelled it because he thinks it's a bad word and he'd get in trouble) but I don't want to ask Daddy because I'm afraid he'll laugh at me". Well, she goes to bro and tells him again only stressing that now he's ASKING. So bro. sits down with him and the next thing you know he comes out dying laughing. When asked what was so funny he explained that DN asked the "How" of baby making and when told he responded with "I bet that feels GGGGOOODDDDDD!!!" Which is the exact opposite of the oldest girl's reaction of "He puts his what where?? I ain't ever doing that!!!"
OMG, that is hilarious. It's just like Cassie says though, when you have a boy you worry about one penis, when you have a girl you have to worry about ALL of them. Our oldest was totally grossed out by the whole thing, she's also not a very huggy kissy person. Our middle child however needs to be held every day for a least a few minutes, so I worry a little about that one. Our youngest however doesn't like to sleep alone and she used to giggle hilariously whenever I changed her diaper, she's the one that's going to KILL me dead with a heart attack.

Why, you gotta thing against a grown man wearing drag? Personally I don't think Terri can pull off Larry the Cable guy. She might have a flannel, a grungy hat with a fish hook and some fake arm pit hair but she doesn't have the gut or the flabby arms for it.

April I've been meaning to tell you that I'm sorry you're under a lot of stress. But we're here for you, with or without any sort of disclosure. Keep your chin up honey and keep your own health in focus. I have found for myself that stress is fantastic for the workout. I can really push it if I'm feeling all torked up about something. So get mad about whatever the stress is and then go hit the weights or the trails, whatever it is you do for sweat.

Smile Chatting . . .

Terri ~ It’s awesome watching you knock out your goals. A better you & a better home. I like seeing how you re-focus after “fiascos”. & Yup! - I noticed that you walked on Monday after you made your commitment. Good going! I’m learning we have to be careful what we write around here - we just might be made accountable!

almeeker ~ Was it you that mentioned crunches for back strengthening? I think my back is just about ready for strengthening. I’ve been stretching with DVDs. (Leslie Sansone). I think I’ll start with twice per wk. I believe the idea is to also strengthen ABD muscles so that the back is better supported & thus the crunches. I had to think thru that one a bit. Thanks for getting me to think about it again.

April ~
Good to see you doing OK health wise. I believe you’re doing great in addressing the stress factors (people?) in your life. Hugs to you. I hope you are able to give yourself a lot of TLC.

Julie ~ OK -- Time to re-focus. That’s half the battle. I think you know that already. It’s times like this that I need to keep my goal in front of my face & hold it dear to my heart. You're also doing a lot of wonderful healthy things -- please remember that.

Kay ~ What’s the “dreaded Russian twist” -- and with 20 lb kettlebells? It sounds fiercesome, but fun. I’ll have to do some research on kettlebells.

Quinn - I know someone who would buy kids’ meals & then would give the toys to children. I sure can identify, though, with you on your McDonald choices. At least you got at least 1 prize out of the deal. My kids have been begging for a McDonald Kids’ meal so that they could have a barbie.

Darlene ~ That puppy is way tooooooooo cute. I’ll be looking forward to hearing more about Kaya & Lucky & their new venture together.

Mern ~ What an awesome eye report!!! You just keep rockin’ along with better health reports. So give yourself lots of credit.

Zyxst ~ Write your things down the old fashioned way if you need too! I’m rooting for you even if you can’t type in right now. Hang in there! I hope you come back real soon. Computers are a great blessing, but also a pain when they don’t work right. FOCUS

kimbur ~ For your 1 lb loss & celebrating your hard work ->

Mike ~ I tell you, I just have to get a dose of “Mike Musings” daily. I usually chuckle at something you say. TOTM
---------------------------------------------
If I miss anyone -- please forgive me. It’s not intentional.

I’m working on being very faithful & consistent in charting foods today. This has to help me fight the flab this week. My 2 kids are getting into what’s healthy for me. The oldest one translates it to her eating, but the youngest just thinks it’s all for me. Although last night my littlest tried out blackberries & surprised herself by enjoying the berries.

Have a great FitDay you all!

Tori, yeah, ground turkey needs more stuff added because otherwise I find it pretty flavorless. Not like the yummy taste of beef. Hey, I quit smoking years ago and still love the smell of cigarettes. I quit, though, so my grandkids wouldn't have to breathe it. Uhm, yeah, you had a really good reason to quit and hats off to you! DN certainly does sound like a character.

Darlene, more food porn. Yup, the cinnamon buns were sweet and gooey with icing. I warmed them in the microwave. I thought of you guys because I was cheating so badly and doing nothing to stop myself. Well, today IS the start of day 1 of 7 days of no cheats to earn the low carb lasagna meal. I took a free speed reading course in college back in the 70's and I doubt it would cover our speed reading needs here. LOL Another LOL on Kaya coming out from under the couch with dust bunnies. We all get those. Hey, we love the puppy talk.

I stayed up this morning and put in a nice hour long workout. It wasn't as vigorous as usual but it felt good to get it in. Yesterday was also the first day in about a week that I met my 100oz of water. I am on track to do that again today.

Mike...Congrats on your new PR!
I hope things turn out okay for you. A good walk can help with stress. Thanks on the Grats.

Mike, good luck writing a ton of policies today, and I sure hope its not PMS!

Julie
It doesn't sound like yesterday was too bad. Stick around a while, my bad days will make you feel MUCH better. I hope it's not PMS as well.

Mike, if Terri's butt will swell from the pizza, then I literally will have "cinnamon buns" from yesterday. Yeah, that was a pretty good save "y'all are EVERYTHING to me." LOL You had a really good green report yesterday. I hope TOTM is easy on you. Enjoy the chick flicks. LOL Maybe I'll move to California. I hear the medical marijuana is easy to get there. My husband won't notice the difference because he think's my mind is always confused anyway. LOL
Please turn in your complaint down the hall, last door on the left. I LOL'ed at your cinnamon buns.

maybe that would explain why I'm getting so big, I'm several months late and my boobs leak when a baby cries.

Pam, LOL on he transporter story. I wish the transporter was how the babies really got OUT, though. LOL I'm glad you and DH enjoyed the Dreamfields pasta. Can't blame him for being a little dubious about the protected carbs--kinda like the sugar alcohols in sugar free candy that are not supposed to spike our blood sugar. An hour and a half to catch up--yeah, I can attest to that. Sometimes I have time to just read the posts that are addressed to me.
