Wednesday Report

Low on calories only because I was so busy I didn't have time to stop to eat lunch until it was almost time for dinner. Had very nutritious food and only cucumber for an evening snack.

Blue numbers are over daily targets but are not yet missed goals--because those goals are green averages at the end of the week.

Calorie limit 1600 1279, 2061, 876
Carbs less fiber limit 25g 21.1g, 110.4g, 24.2g
Average daily fiber 25g minimum 25g, 22g 25g
Average daily cholesterol 300mg maximum 203mg, 188mg, only 47mg
Average daily sat fat 12% maximum 12%, 18%, 9%
Fruits/veggies 5 servings per day YES, 4, YES

Water 48 oz. YES, YES, NO
Exercise 5 days YES, YES, day off
Artificial sweetener limit 2 pks. per day 0, 0, 1
Sugar free dark chocolate miniatures limit 2 per day 1, 4, 0
Vitamin D and fish oil capsules daily YES, YES, YES

Something wonderful: I overheard my 10 year old granddaughter (who is often very self-absorbed) giving her oldest sister's boyfriend a compliment that really made him feel good.

Amy, so sorry you're starting out with DD problems today after yerterday's shopping trip and lunch at Logan's. Hope you've got your butt clenched. KUDOS on your control at Logans and on all the green in your Wednesday report!

Beth, blessings to the lady who brought the veggie tray to the study last night!
Kudos on making up for the missed flossing.

Darlene, I certainly won't be offended if you decide not to try the muffins--just put it out there for anyone who may. I already had it saved on my hard drive, so just had to copy and paste it. I just happen to love flaxmeal and eat it daily to help reduce cholesterol. Oh, man! Round THREE of interviews! Those kinds of interviews are SO hard because you don't know what the interviewers want to hear. (I fantasize about someone being asked "Where would you like to be in five years?" And the applicant responds "I'd hope to have YOUR job." LOL) They're asking for you to make an on-the-spot decision about how to handle something, BUT in real life, those are some decisions THEY would be able to take TIME to make. Isn't that why they do THREE interviews? LOL But they want the best employees, so it's understandable that they have to ask such questions. Best wishes on landing that job. If you told us, I forgot--what kind of job is it?

Beth, thanks for your explanation about how we can lose muscle mass. Such information is very valuable to many people in this group. I'm going to copy your post and save it on my hard drive for future reference.

Forgot my something wonderful yesterday: I saw a referral source I hadn't seen in quite some time, one of my favorite people, and really enjoyed catching up .

Have a great day, everyone!

UGH my normally crappy Tuesday hit me on Thursday this week. I knew it was too good to be true. I overslept, and then there was an accident on the interstate. I took the exit before mine and luckily dodged most of the heavy traffic. And now I'll play catch up for the rest of the day.

Hope all are having a better day than I am.

Health/Fitness Goals...
1. 100oz water a day M: Yes, T: Yes, W: Yes,
2. Limit of one diet Coke daily M: Yes, T: Yes, W: Yes,
3. Walk on lunch unless actually raining except Tuesday (work through lunch to go to an appointment)...who cares if it is cold out! M: 1.5m in 26min, T: N/A, W: 1-1/8m in 30min (stopped to grocery shop in there too), Th: Raining & working through lunch,
4. Listen to myself when I'm full. No eating just because I want more. M: Yes, T: Yes, W: Yes, but barely!,
5. Workout 4 out of 5 days Weds-Sun W: 1hr 5min, Th: 55min,
6. Weigh and post it every day [B]M: 276.4, T: 273.2, W: 272.8, [Th: 272.2, /B]
7. Be very careful about eating after dinner, seems to be a problem lately. M: Yes, T: Yes, W: Yes,

Life Goals ...
1. Keep hands busy in the evening. Do something other than facebook for a while. M: Yes, T: Yes, W: Yes,
a. Mend the rest of hubby's work socks. M: No, T: Yes - DONE!
2. Do handwashing. M: No, T: No, W: No (why do my new bras say handwash anyway? I've never done that before.),

Last night was a close call to a binge. I stopped myself at the end of my second full bowl of chili and about 10 saltine crackers. I did not have bread with it even though I wanted to realllllly bad! The only snacks I had after dinner was two tastes of peanut butter & strawberry jelly. And I do mean just tastes, like 2 pea sized amounts of each. And of course I had 2 sugar free popsicles. Today is a hungry day though. So maybe I should have had something for snack last night. If I had allowed a snack I might have had more energy for my workout this morning too. I really had to encourage myself to keep going. I kept getting distracted. Once I really got going though I stuck with it and got sore muscles now to prove it. I was at it for 1hr & 5min but I took off 10 mins on my recorded time just for distractions like taking a picture of the dogs So far today I had my banana & fat free yogurt for breakfast and an awesome muffin for snack (cranberry orange fat free muffin - 140 calories) and I have a wonderful salad that I brought from home sitting in the fridge for about another half hour until I go get it. Afternoon snack is a sugar free jello - 5 calories. If it really comes down to me being that hungry that I feel indigestion (sometimes I do) I will go get an apple. They just filled our fruit basket (red & yellow apples and oranges, sometimes bananas) this morning. I love this company and the healthy things they encourage without pushing them in your face.

Enough about me

Beth ... Yeah, I get up at 4am Weds-Sun one week and Weds-Fri the next week to make hubby's lunch and send him off to work so when he leaves at 10 til 5 I just stay up and do my workout then. We usually don't get to lay down to sleep until about 11pm. Luckily for me I am the type to sleep as soon as my head hits the pillow. ... I have taken stuff home and shared with my guys instead of eating. I work at a restaurant food supply business and lots of times customers (restaurants) will bring me lunch or dessert. I always take it home so everyone can try what ever the dish is and so I don't eat the whole thing myself. .. Thank you for the share on the muscle mass. That was very good info!

Mern ... Good for you for rescheduling your exercise instead of skipping it. ... I really LOL'd at your butt recommendation for Amy.... I think I will skip your mocha muffin because I really hate the taste of coffee but I found one that is very moist and tasty too and a 'better for me' choice. It is cranberry orange.

Mike ... Yay for writing 2 policies. I am glad to see you are feeling a bit better. You are more active so you must be coming back around.

Tori ... Good for you for accomplishing your goals mostly yesterday.

Cassie ... Kudos for making it through a lunch out without logging and not being over by much.

Darlene ... I would love to have views like that. We have lots of views too don't get me wrong. I live in a beautiful area. But I love nature and seeing eagles and the ocean in daily life would just be awesome to me.

Amy ... You held up well under all that stress yesterday of the kids acting up and going out for lunch. I so would have been eating that 2yr olds chicken tenders! ... 105 mins exercise too! You are rocking it!

Well the weather folks have been predicting snow-magedeon all week and it's finally here. Only whoops it's 38 degrees, so it's just a plain old rain shower. The kids are bummed, but there is hope, the temp is supposed to drop overnight. Hopefully it won't coat us all in ice, it's pretty and all, but I'm soooo not in the mood for that mess.

Been very busy so I am just posting now. Really enjoyed the posts so some of these responses may seem stale since they go back to when I last posted.

Pam, I have high bp too (Thanks, Mom! Thanks, Dad! Oh and also for the high cholesterol) It's amazing what affects bp. I was surprised hearing about the effect the NSAIDs have on you but I shouldn't be because for me, Benadryl raises bp (that and DD!!!) And losing weight does cause my bp to go down which is one reason I keep trying to lose these last stinkin pounds!!!! Begone tonnage!!!

Amy Glad you liked my saying. Love your Valentines letter! Something new and different, a good thing.

Speaking of good things thanks for the food porn, Mern!!! Now I want a chocolate muffin! Hell, I'll do your grandson's chores for one!!!

Wildbeanerz funny story about the man late to his own funeral! I always say that since I talk so much I'm gonna deliver my own euology! They'll have to beat my tongue with a stick to get me to stop talking.

Mike Sorry about the funk, glad to hear the gym helped it. But not quite feeling "pimptastic?" Pimptastic? Is that like whorelicious? Sorry!!! Also jones for Blast maybe from previous lack of food?

Cassie, how are you, honey? Not pimptastic, I'm assuming, but I hope well and happy. Thanks so much for asking about DD, still a great source of stress (see bp comments above.)

OK I gotta get to work. Regards to all.
