Default Helllloooooooo

Wow it took me 2 hrs to fillet the fish. My blades on my electric knife kept getting "gummed up" and I had to constantly clean them. My back is killing me from standing there. I may not walk tonight. I'll have to see.

Darlene, my dog really doesn't mind rain or cold as long as she goes outside, now me... that's another story. Congrats on the loss and hope you resisted the pizza!

Mike, if you weigh yourself at 4 am then of course you will get a crazy number! 4 am the body should be in a horizontal position! I am sure it will be gone by tomorrow. Glad you enjoyed fishing minus the being covered in Off (I hate that) and those fish surely gave you a double workout.

Cassie, exactly you would think its easy to go to bed early! Specially for me, I am a complete sleepy head but I get distracted and before I know it its midnight, it is definitely a goal I need to work on. Congrats on a complete week of control!

Quinn, glad you took a day off from the computer and you enjoyed your nap the day before! I don't think I would get used to hunting season either :S

Chibisub, nice to see you. Not gaining is a great thing, sometimes you just need to adjust and then the body starts responding again.

Mike Nice job on catching so many fish, too bad about the gnats they are not fun. Sorry the scale is giving you attitude today.

Quinn Hearing gunshots close to home would terrify me also I don’t know if I could ever get used to that.

Cassie Way to go on getting your 10 miles in you had a great week.

Main80 I had a pizza and desert free day even though they were both within easy reach. I have not seen you with a high calorie day forever so maybe you needed a treat day enjoy it!

I had a very busy day but I managed to eat well even with all the bad choices around me. I am very happy I got my walk in to make 18.7k I really didn’t think I could do it but I couldn’t get my squats and ab’s in I ran out of steam. I started Christmas shopping today also so I felt very productive, one child done 3 stockings finished and wrapping paper colors chosen and purchased. My scale was down the same 2lbs as yesterday so I will claim them this puts me in the 140’s and makes me pretty happy.
Have a nice night.

I love the idea of a Monday report, so I'm in on that score. My report card this morning is not too inspiring, but not a complete epic failure either. I don't know if I set my goals too high, set too many to focus on getting something done, or if my discipline is just flagging. Either way I was a C- diet wagon rider last week. And this morning my scale said 157.6 so I'm up .2 lbs from last Monday, so C- for certain if not lower. Ugh. I did have some success over the weekend.

I had my cheat "meal" on Saturday night, I actually ordered the portobella mushroom burger at the Pub, usually I get the bacon cheeseburger or the wood fired pizza. The portobella burger is several hundred calories less than the bacon cheeseburger and 1,000 calories less than the pizza. But since my dinner was so light I had room for a second mug of Pumpkin Spice Ale , OMG the best beer flavor EVER! Thank heavens they only brew it in the Fall and have already sold most of it for this year. I'm not a big fan of their Christmas beers, so I should be safe from their temptations for a while.

The kids did great at the meet on Saturday, I don't actually know which places they got, one of the timer bars wasn't working right, but they looked really good from the edge of the pool. They all placed in the top 3 for their heats, so unless there are some DQ's I don't know about, we'll be collecting a pile of pretty ribbons at practice tonight. I didn't wear my pedometer to the swim meet, had I worn it, I might be able to say that I met the 10 mi challenge. 4+ hours walking up and down the pool deck has got to be worth a few miles anyway. I did put in 3 mi on Saturday morning on the treadmill before the meet. And on Sunday I got DH to go for a nice walk with me down to the grocery store to pick up the Sunday papers. It's a little over 2 mi down and back. Which brings my grand total of miles for the weekend to 5+. Okay so only 1/2 the amount of the challenge, but 5+ miles more than I would have gone without being challenged.

Oh and I have a confession to make, I'm an idiot. Last week I found a brand of real bagels (not the flattened ones) that are 110 calories each. I was so excited that I bought 2 packages of them, added it to my custom food, and have been munching away on 1-2/day ever since. Yesterday after I'd eaten a 3rd, DH says to me "I take it this is a cheat day?". I gave him a rather blank look and asked why he thought that, so he says something about the bagels being a lot of calories for a little bit of bread. Dummy me, yes the bagels are 110 calories per serving, but a serving is 1/2 a bagel!!!! Ugh, I hate it when that happens.

Goals look like I did pretty good but unfortunately what is not in my goals is that I ate like a carboholic all weekend. I could blame so many things...Aunt Flo, son issues causing me slight depression, not cheating in quite a while, the weather, and the list could go on and on. However there is nothing to blame but myself for this. Every time I was eating something that I shouldn't have I had the voice in my mind saying "WTF are you doing?" That must have been my angel. But my devil was so much stronger this weekend and I crashed and burned hard! So between Aunt Flo and the weekend from hell I am up 5.6 lbs today since last Monday.

So there it is...my weekly recap. I'll head over to the new thread and make some better goals for this week that should help me to hopefully get back to where I was last Monday.
