I agree that fasting to lose weight probably isn't the best idea in the world.
However, to say that a water fast lasting more that five days is impossible is simply inaccurate. Many people have fasted for much longer. I've personally done 30 days with zero calories twice and one to three weeks more often.
As I mentioned in fastingwomens other thread, I would recommend fasting of any type only be done under a doctor's supervision.
And, for the record, I think maintaining a reasonable calorie deficit combined with moderate exercise and lots of water is a much better way to go.
