I can't explain the weight increase, but am confident that it is one of those anomalies or plateaus...here is hoping my efforts this week wil have a different result.

I agree with Cassie, such sudden increase is most likely to be water. Exercise makes muscles slightly swollen (soaked with water and thus heavier), and salt also causes water retention in the body. Keep doing what you are doing, and soon you will see a good drop in weight

okay... help me out here. Am I behind on posting? I posted every day but I'm only showing 6 days. Maybe my numbers don't finish until the end of the day...
Any who (wait, that just doesn't sound right), I'll post my final numbers for the week tonight.

What am I missing?

Having trouble Logging in so calorie count is hard. Also eating out several times. If the internet holds I'll do my journals for the days I missed.

My Goals for Jan 29th to Feb 4th --1st day report; Knowing I was going to journal kept me from eating the 2 extra slices of pizza, and other temptations: Putting the calrories in the journal is a plus

Do my fitday entries each day, food and activity Y, y,y, y

Exercise 5 out of the 7 days (at least 7 hours for the week) N,N, Y 2 hours, Y 4.5 hours skiing

Eat healthy foods Stay below 2000 calories average. My usual is 1500 :1902, 2200, 2500, 1300,

however my goal for this week is maintenance. A loss would be a pleasant surprise.

Drink 60 oz of water daily; y,N, Y, Y

Limit alcohol consumption to 3 evenings of holidays. none, X, X, N,

I find it hardest to eat right while on holidays. I'm hoping making these plans will assit me in not gaining next week.
Kumochi, we are on a new thread for the week...I'm not sure anyone is still posting on this one so you might not get a lot of feedback.

Look for the thread entitled 7-Day Motivational Thread for 1/31; see you over there!

Thanks Cassie Love the egg quote. I've used it a few times with some friends who are dieting with me.

I'm posting back here because my week if off with holidays. I don't know if I can move my goals to another threat. I find it's helping even if just for my seeing that I can control my intake while on holidays. I'll be back posting on the motivational one again in 2 weeks when I'm off babysitting. So far I have not needed it when at home. Mary
