A cup is 8oz.

If you eat half, change the 1 cup to .5 If you eat a fourth of a cup, you can either put .25 or 2 oz. 3/4th of a cup is .75 or 6 oz.

Hope that helps.

If I want to enter half a cup of something I type .5 in the box, and leave the unit at "cup". If I only ate 2 oz of something then I type 2 in the box, and scroll down and select "oz" for the units. HTH.

Default entering portions on journal..."HALF CUP"

Thanks for the helpful replies...I understand now...I am entering by ounces rather than partial cups...Thanks so much for the guidance! BrendaLoubb
