Starting My Fast
I'm sure a few of you will have seen my fasting thread in diets with a few Q & A's.
I spent a couple of days not eating during day but then eating at night and now I'm commited to fasting for a few days.
I'd ideally like to fast through the weekend but we'll see how it goes.
Today will be my first full day and I'll try and post my progress.
Hopefully being shamed on here if I don't stick to it will give me the extra motivation I need.
Here's hoping!!!

Well as thought I'm guna need more than luck.
Came home to a nice cooked dinner which I felt guilty refusing!!!
3 times now I've lasted from 10pm to 6pm
Willpower is low might be easier for me to start on a weekend?!
If I tell my family they are worriers so will not support a fast!!!
Might just give it a few days.
What a donut I am!!!

Round two!
Had a brief discussion with my mum this morning about the fast.
I'm going to get through day 1 today!!!!
Just thinking last night about what it means and will do for me to lose some weight and I know I need this kind of kick start.
Hopefully my next posting will be tomorrow telling you all how well I've done Ha ha

PS Are you going to go to a reduced calorie plan after the fast?
PPS If you go more than a couple days on your fast, make sure to take it easy when coming off it. I found watered down OJ was good for a start. If you can stomach them, protein shakes are another good option when breaking a fast, as are low fat/low cal yogurt. Probably not such a big deal with a shorter fast, but if you go a week or two, well, your body needs to get the digestion restarted slowly.

Thanks Michael
I'd be on a reduced calorie diet however I buckled again last night. As you say, through bordem more than anything.
Again I'm trying to get through today, which so far, again, is going well.
I'm concerned that if I keep breaking my fast in the evening it could have a negative effect as my calorific consumption will be consumed in a smaller period than normal!
I'll see what comes of tonight, I really want to get through it as tomorrow and sunday could be alot easier, as I'm busier.
If I bottle tonight, which I'm trying to block out of my mind, I may have to re-assess whether I'm cut out for this.
I know that this is a self discipline thing more than anything else.
Your comments are a great support
