Uber upset with myself. Cheat meal every day this week - and not suprisingly I'm up in weight this Monday; although suprisingly down on my bf% the scale displays (then again those things are notoriously misleading; but I'll take any win I can today).
Weight: 203.6 (up 2lbs from last wk)
BF% - 22.5
My ONLY consolation is that I'm focusing on ONLY running this week - hopefully 3 miles today, 2 tomorrow and repeat for thurs/fri in prep for my very first 5k this saturday! So hopefully with all the running I can burn off most of what I packed away last week.
I'll keep ya posted - Keep up the good work guys

Monday 8/16/10
Age: 35
Height: 5" 11"
Current Weight: 221.4 lbs
Weight Last Week: 226 lbs
4.6 lbs lost,
18 lbs to go!
I actually got down to 220, but gained back a pound or so over the weekend. Wife wanted to go to Outback Steakhouse. Impossible to go there without eating at least 2,000 calories.

OK, I'll give this a try. Started logging food intake on 7/6, at 245. I'm at 239 today, so averaging about a pound a week. I'm going to aim for 215 (24 lb., 10%) by Christmas. Not a big workout guy, but have started doing 10,000 steps, walking instead of riding golf, and swimming a bit more. Ooof!!

This is the thread I was looking for
I have already lost nearly 20% of my body weight, but have a long way further to go. I have been looking for a thread where I can do a weekly check-in, as a function of accountability. Consider me "in" for the 10% by thanksgiving challenge. My current weight is 239, so I will now update my goal weight to 215 and goal date to 11/25. Thanks for starting this thread.

Man, I am the one that started this thread. I am horrified at what I have done lately. Man, vacation really tore me down as far as progress I made. I came home and still ate pretty good, but exercise went right out the window. Besides the walking I do at work and yard work, nothing else. Also, work got super busy the last two weeks. I mean crazy super busy. My breakfasts, lunches, and suppers have been pretty healthy. Snacks here and there were awful though. Ice cream, chips, and crap like that. My little girl's birthday party is today and we are having homemade pizza and ice cream cake. I did do three hours of yard work today. Mowing, weed-eating, trimming bushes, etc.
Monday, I will start exercising again. Riding the bike and lifting weights. I will weigh in Monday morning also.
I feel awful that I have ruined a lot of the progress I made when I started. It has been like a week and a half long cheat meal.
Any encouragement would be great.
Thanks.

Unlike so many other things in life, a diet and exercise plan is something you can pick right up with again no matter how far you might stray or for how long. Best of luck starting Monday!
