Yeah i do need to start. At this point i think i can run about 100 yards before stopping
I will give it a go tomorrow and see what happens! Maybe go for 30 seconds and then walk for two minutes kind of a routine first.

Congrats Ed! Looking to possible do a 5K in the summer...have to get much fitter though. Just got a treadmill (being delivered next week) and some weights for the house - much more likely to want to do it if I don't have to waste the time to get to the gym. Having trouble maintaining this week - had a working staycation this week - off traveling again next week so no excuse then!

4/30 - 274 (up 1 since 4/26, but 59 down since November). Averaging about 9-10 pounds per month right now. Happy with that, but sure that will get harder as time goes on.

Doing great Richard. I know I will have (and have had) some weeks I will gain too but if we just stat the next day with good mind set, we will do good. I wish I had a place for a home gym but I don't. Hope you get a lot of use for your equipment. Stay with it and keep me posted, your doing great.

Aloha from Maui. I finally got serious on April 23rd. So far I have dropped 22lbs. I know that’s a bit fast but I’m doing low carb and have stopped drinking alcohol. Right now I’m much jazzed but know the realities. It has been rough for me lately, November 27th I was run over in a grocery store parking lot by a small woman in a BIG Chevy Suburban. She backed out of her parking space fast without looking. Ran over me and fractured my left hip and some other collateral damage. The 60 lbs I needed to lose ballooned to 100 due to lack of activity to say the least. When I went back to work two months ago after a few days they told me they didn’t need me anymore. I guess they didn’t like the walker and wheelchair routine. So, I have been on unemployment as the Labor Board didn’t like what they did. I love the unemployment! Making almost the same as when I had the headaches of work. As I am rebuilding myself I figured it was time to reduce me too. Being in litigation with the driver and my ex-employer is keeping me amused. Also, it’s finally warm enough to use the pool at my condo and I am doing some laps (breath stroke with tiny flutter kicks). Anyway, good to find this group and hope to share more from the little island in the Pacific.

Aloha back to you Ty. Damn!!! Guess it's good to get all the bad luck over with at one time. Good to hear your doing better and your taking steps to get healthy. This is a great site to keep your food and activities journaled. Think that keeps me on track most days. Keep up the swimming, it's a great exercise and keep up all posted on your progress. At least your due some good luck!

Stopped documenting my foods and as a result...yup, not doing too great - not completely stopped losing, but that's more due to luck and traveling for work too much recently. Have to get back into the routine.

Great to hear from you guys.
Farr- You have pretty well reached you goal. Way to go, I know you have to feel great about it, Now NEVER GAIN IT BACK! Proud of you.
Richard- I've done that before too and I was just saying to my wife a few days ago that when I reach my goal, I think I just need to keep up the food and exercise journal. It only take a few min a day but sure makes you think.
Both of you guys have done great, stay with it.

Default No longer obese!

Did my weight in and posted it this morning. For the most part I feel the goverment BMI index is BS. But, it was at 30 this morning and made me feel good anyhow.
Hope everyone's doing good.
