Default 2012 goals

***Get back under 240***
1- Cut back on booze and never drink booze alone.
2- Keep running/workouts.
3- Reduce Peachtree 10K time.
4- Don't sweat the small thinks, don't let work stress me.
5- Post all meals/food.
HOPE EVERYONE A GREAT NEW YEAR!

Default Added a few pounds, slowed down a bit.

I have not been as devoted to my diet the past few months as I was a year or so ago. I have been keeping up my workouts and runs. I did the same 5K last week as I did a year ago. My time dropped from 30 to 34 min. That is because I'm hauling an additional 25 pounds for the 3.1 miles.
No excuses here, just bad choices and I need to take control again. I was selected for the Peachtree 10K again this year, I would like to reduce my time. I ran a full hour this morning, I have not made it a whole hour in about 6 months.
Hope everyone is doing well.

I tried the Atkins a few years ago for a couple weeks. I lost weight but I got board with the food pretty quick. I have never had great luck with sticking with "diets". How about you?

I can't stick with a certain diet either. I think we are just human being and we get use to a certain food that are comforting and we also crave for a certain food. If you follow a certain diet and eat what the book said, that is really not nature. I found the best way for me is to eat what I would normally eat in a smaller portion. I also try to cook it healthier too. This way I won't deprive myself, however, the weight loss is very slow.
I didn't do well in the last 9 months. No work out, no watch my portion. I gained all back. This is a life long journey and I have to stick with it. I have learned.

Default A voice from the past

It's been over two years since I've been on fitday. Lots of ups and downs but the one thing that's stayed the same is my battle of overweight. January 2014 I was back to 305 by not watching my diet. I been working hard all year with a better diet and exercise and have dropped back down to 250 but it's still a daily struggle. I have started back posting food and exercise and as always, this helps.

Hope everyone has been doing well,
ED
