I too have been doing low carb since being diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic in 2003. Unlike most people, the weight has not dripped off(only about 15#). I recently began adding coconut oil to the program, reduced the protein and carbs and have lost 4# since June 10th. Very disappoing, but going in the right direction. I will be adding rebounding and biking to the mix.
My averages are 77%fat, 19%protein and 4% carbs. I keep the carbs under 20 per day and usually average 10-15.
I imagine when you get to my age (70) the metabolism slows a little bit, but maybe that's an excuse
This is truly the best program for keeping blood glucose in check.
