Nope, alcohol is alcohol (hic!)

Regards,
Michael

PS We HOPE that FitDay will at some point in time allow the tracking of sugar, but for now it does not.

Default logging sugar intake

Could anyone give me some direction on how to more accurately track my sugar intake with FitDay's daily food log? I love adding in all my custom foods, but I've always been curious why there isn't a "sugar" amount column in addition to the other options (i.e., carbs and alcohol, etc).

Smile Me Too!!

I would love this feature as well & it should not be a hard to add. Being able to see the % of Carbs that are Sugars would be very helpful to all people who are trying to manage their dietary intake.

No, they are not the same. The alcohol category is comprised of, well, when you drink alcohol, AFAIK, so a package wouldn't list it under nutrients unless it's got alcohol in it.

Don't know if this helps but Sugar is a simple carbohydrate so it is included in your carbohydrate count. Many track 'Net Carbs' which are your total Carbs minus the fiber thus basically giving the simple carbs. (Complex carbs are just simple carbs with fiber.) So you can look at net carbs as being equivalent to sugar.
