is my weight-loss goal realistic?

i have my goals posted in my siggy i just wanted feedback on this goal

in total i want to lose 50lbs for the year

Sounds realistic, maybe even pessimistic. I lost like 90 pounds in about a year, so I suspect you can get to your goal before 2013.

yeah i just don't want to lose that much so quickly, i just want to take it alittle slower just so i know i can keep off that weight

I hear you, maintenance is almost harder than losing and it goes on forever...

unrealistic goals

Many people have unrealistic goals in terms of the amount of weight they would like to lose. A short-term weight loss goal will only be helpful if it leads to long-term goals such as keeping the weight off. The habits that will help keep the weight off are the same ones that helped to lose the weight. The best goal in my mind is to improve health.
