We keep a few protein bars in the car for when we're out and about and can't stop at Whole Foods for a chicken breast or like that. Our favorite snack is a recovery shake of 1 C 1% milk, and 2 C frozen fruit (like strawberries and blueberries). Mix in the blender and it is just like iced cream. We have this every day, it's about 10 gm protein and 70 gm carb and is absolutely decadent. I eat it with a spoon, as it's too thick for a straw. Since I started doing this after my workout, I feel so much better all day long and I don't get those afternoon low's. I get all my protein from real food and don't need any of the powders to achieve 50/30/20 and 0.8 gm protein/lb.
