I love fruit (Fuyu persimmons, mmm) but it does make me gain weight, so I stay away. String cheese is a good work snack in my opinion. Portable, has protein and calcium, more satiating than fruit.

Have you tried getting your thyroid checked? Make sure they don't just check TSH. TSH is a very crude screen. Check FT4, FT3, and RT3.
