Quick update--
Hit the one-day sale at Macy's bright and early this morning. Unfortunately, our location didn't have the buy-one-get-two deals on suits for BF (he was bummed) but I did end up buying a couple of dresses.
One is a LBD, Size 12. It's got a V-neck and is "wrap style" in that it has material gathered at one hip, but doesn't actually wrap. I find it extremely flattering, it gives me a very nice waist. Not a style I would have tried on before, but I'm glad I did!
The other is a pink sundress with a fitted top and a cute knee-length skirt - I ended up needing a Size 14 for "the girls" but it looks good, so I didn't mind much. I'm in-between sizes at the moment. I couldn't really decide, to be honest, haha - and both were on sale! I figured I'd probably have occassion to wear one or the other even if I don't bring them home (or I'll *make* occasion to do so!) so it's OK in the end.
I got the 2 dresses for about $100 -- not too bad, considering normal department store prices.
I didn't have much luck with shoes - given my ankle problem, it's tough, but I think I can make it work with what I have in my closet. I also ordered a couple of shoes online, with free shipping, so we'll see if any of them are better.
I'll be sure that pics are taken when I go for the reunion I'll probably end up bringing both options with me and talking it over with my sister. She's very good at fashion and has always been able to tell me what looks best on me and/or what is appropriate!
