Default Sleep.

Since sleep is so important to being healthy, let's talk about it.

What are your bedtime rituals?

I read or study every night before going to sleep (whatever interests me). In bed.

Default Melatonin.

I have ADHD, and I have trouble sleeping. I take an OTC sleep formula pill that contains melatonin, which helps me sleep. I've been taking it intermittently since 2007.
However, I'm worried that I'll become dependent on it. What do I do?

Your doctor is the best source of this advice. Especially when you are concerned about becoming dependent (addicted?) to something - you would discuss how much you take, when you usually take it - and your doctor would ask you other related questions.

Default Looking at alarm clock.

I've developed a habit of looking at the alarm clock if I'm not asleep in 15-20 minutes.
I also look at the alarm clock until it hits 10:30, when I try to go to sleep.
Could this be why I have trouble sleeping?

when I know I'm going to have trouble sleeping due to excitement or concern I use chamomile tea. Might not fall asleep right away still, it's relaxing though

Thanks to almighty I don't have any sorts of problem with sleeping. I fall asleep the minute I touch the bed. I'm truly thankful for that. Anyway, I think it would be my best interest not to share (or "disclose" you might say ) my sleeping rituals. Cause if I do, many of you would criticize me.

Nope, you are having trouble sleeping and that's why you are doing this staring. Try not to make a permanent habit of it.

[Offtopic] There are a lots of movies where a character wakes up and stare at the alarm clock. One particular movie is on my mind now. And that is "The 40-year old virgin". It's the first scene. Well, be aware of what you are making your habit, cause the movie title do not indicate a good thing for life.
