Calories for vegans
Hi there, newbie here :)
Are there any other vegans out there?
I just started using FitDay and because I really like how you can track your nutrients, an important tool for me as a vegan to make sure I'm getting enough nutrients.
My problem is that, while I may reach my goals for nutrients, I'm still left with just half of the recommended amount of calories for me. As a petite woman who eats a balanced vegan diet, do I need to be as concerned with calories as I am with nutrients if I feel full and have plenty of energy?
How are you getting the number that is 'recommended number of calories'? If you are a petite woman, then it should be fewer calories than a larger woman. Did you use the calculator here on the fitday site, which figures in your level of activity and height?
