Question Hidden Sugars?

I'm just a newbie here and have a quick question. If you're looking at nutritional labels and there say 10 grams of sugar, 4 of which is carbs and 2 is fiber, how in the world do you tell where the other 4 grams of sugar is coming from? I know everyone talks a lot about hidden sugars, but isn't there a way to tell what it is or where it's coming from?

I think the only way to get more information is to go to the website of the product's maker and see if they post nutritional information and if it is more complete.
