Hi there. My name is Koula and I just joined. I am 47 years old. I really need to get myself healthy. I have been over weight most of my life and have lost and gained more times then I can remember. I need some help and support! I am married and have 2 beautiful healthy little girls that are my life. They are 9 and 7 and they deserve better from me and they need me to be here for a long time for them.

Right now I am having some back issues. Some bulging discs and am trying hard to get that better by seeking treatment. I have started going to the gym a couple times a week and doing cardio. I want to do weights but I think i need my back better first. I started tracking my food.

I am hoping to meet some people and provide and receive support.

Welcome, Koula. Your two little girls should be great motivation for getting fit. And what a great role model you'll be for them as you adopt more healthful habits. Sorry about your back problems - I know that must be tough to deal with.

Most of the conversation on this forum seems to be in the weekly motivation thread. A new thread starts each Monday. People post their goals for the week on Monday, then report back daily (or as often as their time permits) as to how they're doing. Check it out and feel free to join in.
