Hi!
I've been doing fitday for 3 years but I don't think I've ever written anything in the forums. I guess I never paid attention to the links. So anyway, HI!!!
I LOVE LOVE fitday. It has saved my life and helped me lose nearly 30 lbs. I've "dieted" a zillion ways in my lifetime, but was never successful until I realized that the whole thing is about calories in, calories out. That's it. It's really that simple. I found online a weight loss caluculator and figured out how many calories a day I needed to cut in order to lose weight and it worked. That was 3 years ago and 30lbs lighter. Yeah me!!!! I'm still counting and I know that with fitday I'll always be able to track what I eat and be in control. Not to say there aren't times when I've gone overboard. We all do that but forcing myself to be totally honest in my calorie counting has helped me succeed. I don't however bother with the nutrician part of creating a new food and logging my foods. It's way too much trouble. I simply add the calorie count and log in my food. I'm aware of how to eat for health so I don't need to bother with searching for all the nutrician facts and adding that detail.
Good luck to all and happy counting!!!!
