If you're willing to push a little bit harder, there's a researcher named Terry Wahls that treated her own very severe MS through a carefully structured diet. She has a TED talk online where she describes her approach and you might even consider contacting her directly for more info.

My rules:
1) eat real food - more vegetables, moderate meat, moderate fruits, less grains, less sugar, less vegetable oils.
2) exercise - moderate intensity cardio, sprinting, heavy lifting, dedicated stretching and mobility.
3) live - relax, de-stress, meditate.
