New and confused!!! Need some help please!
I have a question when adding food to your food log. What does cooked onions mean? It's a big difference from raw onion in calories & fat. I am doing plant based diet and I cook my onions, not with oil I use veggie broth. So when I choose onions, it a has a choice of cooked or raw. I put cooked because I did cook it but not with butter or oil. Can someone help me please. Thanks!

Hi there!
Sometimes you can find a more accurate description if you use the Food Browse feature rather than the Search feature. Going through the Food Browse, Vegetables, Other Vegetables, and scrolling down gets you to this: http://www.fitday.com/fitness/FoodVi...dds2-f75221011 which should be closer to what you're looking for, since you're cooking without fat. |
Thank you very much!:)

What a big difference in my food log today. Way better and way less calories and fat :D

Sometimes if I can't find the version that I want I use the raw and add what I added to cook it in. I never cook with oils or fats. A lot of times I just use a splash of water when cooking. It might not be the most accurate but better than their assumed fat.
