Default newbie question regarding breastfeeding

hi i'm new to fitday, i was just wondering if anyone had suggestions regarding, customizing my calories because i'm breastfeeding. I want to make sure i'm eating enough to actually lose, and i know with breastfeeding i'm burning extra calories, i'm thinking i could just add it to my activity log?, but i'm not sure how, any direction would be helpful,thanks!
