Hi,
I am 61 years old with goal to lose 83 lbs. I just found FITDAY by accident on the internet and this software is wonderful I am able to put the foods I enjoy eating in the custom section and I was amazed of what I was eating and the fat content.
The hardest for me is the exercise and I am trying to increase that. I have rheumatoid arthritis but I am trying to go with the Mantra "No Excuses".
My first week I started at 233 lbs. and now weight 228. Lost 5 lbs. Yeah Unfortunately been there, done that many times before but this program is opening my eyes and I evaluate each day to see what I can change to make things healthier. Walked yesterday in 30 degrees loaded down with heavy jacket and snow pants, gloves, ear muffs etc. and walked 3 miles. Did I tell you I live in the Ice Box of the Nation
Anyway I will be checking back to the discussion boards to get tips and encouragement from all your entries.

Welcome aviscr, it is never too late to have a "first day of the rest of your life moment". I have been here a month and will never forget my first day that I acheived the 100% RDA by food alone.
If you have the time look at the "Best of series", full of information. As well, generous, supportive fitdayers.
So small steps and one day at a time will instill healthy habits for a lifetime.
