Smile Hello..new here

If I posted this in the right spot, then I should be in newcomers. ( hopefully)
As the subject says...I'm new here, looking for like minded people who want to get healthy ( or have traveled the road to a healthy lifestyle).

Current weight : 260 pounds
Height : 5 feet 10 inches
Goal 200 pounds

I am on day one of a 36 day water-fast
If anyone wants or knows of anyone who would like to join me on this h2o adventure, please feel free to send a message.

Looking forward to meeting new people, living a healthier lifestyle, and finally getting back into those clothes that I have hidden in the back of the closet

Welcome aboard!
I've personally never tried a fast of any sort, but I know more than a few people here have, and many have had success with them. If you haven't already, check out the "Diet" board and see if anyone else is embarking on a similar journey, or try posting there to keep us updated on your progress.

On a similar note--I've never really understood fasting as a means of weight loss. Could you point me towards where you got your information/plan from? (This is not meant as an attack or me saying that I think you're wrong for doing it or something--I don't know much about this particular form of dieting and would like to learn.)

Wow, that's some fast you're doing. I've done a 10 day water fast before but never longer than that. Really if you're doing a fast correctly, you shouldn't really put a time on it; fasts should be broken when the hunger returns. I have a good resource for you and I'll send you the link if you want. Just PM me.

When you're done with your fast I'm sure you'll want to eat clean. You'll find all the tools and resources right here to help you with that endeavor. Good luck and best wishes.
