Default Getting back on track

Hello, everyone!

I joined FitDay about 3 weeks ago on 3/12/11. I finally decided to explore the forums today.

This is not the first time I've changed my eating habits to lose weight. I lost 40 lbs before I had my daughter, but that was 7 years ago. After she was born, I never really got back into my better eating habits. I'm ready to do it again. I'm only 33 so I have (hopefully) a long time left on this earth. I want to be healthy and enjoy the rest of my life with my husband and daughter.

When I started this time around, I was 5'6" and 246 lbs. As of today, I've lost 9.5 lbs and am at 236.5. I know the first few weeks on a new food plan often have a dramatic drop, but I'm happy with the roughly 1 lb loss per week I'm settling into. I've set a 1 year goal weight of 194 lbs.

Some days it's easy to lose track of why I'm doing this in all of the numbers and re-thinking I'm having to do. I'm hoping reading and posting to the forums will help me keep some perspective.

Welcome to FitDay. I think you will find, like most of us here, that FitDay is the key to accountability. And once you have that... well, the world is your oyster!

Huge congats on the 9.5 pounds - that is super. You are well on your way to your next goal. Check out the motivation thread in the Women's corner (if you haven't already). There are lots of ladies waiting to get to know you. See you there!
