hey so i'm new here
hello. so my name is Jennifer, and i decided to Lose weight. im 21 years old and as of yesterday i quit smoking and started going to the gym. i signed up here to hopefully get a grasp at some good working out routines, and some good low fat/low cal meals to keep me going.
my current weight is 197 and my goal is 150 by the summer

What workouts are you doing at your gym? Your summer goal sounds reasonable to me!

Sounds like you are off to a good start. Just get into a routine and you'll be fine. Your goal is perfect. Let us know how you're doing. A couple of us like to do a weigh in on Tuesdays. Just to have some accountability. You're welome to join us!
