Hi, I'm a 41 year old female who has done competitive sport all my life. Unfortunately I just tend to do too much of it and not eat enough, which means my poor body doesn't know if it's coming or going and whenever I exercise I experience major water retention. As of today, I have limited myself to just 3 days of exercise a week (it's going to KILL me!)
but one has to do what one has to do.
I have now upped my basic calorie intake to 1400 (from 1200) - I'm 5ft9 and weigh 191lbs (I think (I'm a metric girl)) and 1700-1800 on days that I exercise. Exercise to date has pretty much been at a "balls to the wall" pace so am now really going to attempt to slow it down a bit to see if my body can recover over the next six months or so. I thought if I joined something like FitDay, I may just be able to pull it off if I have people assist me in keeping on the straight and narrow!
