Question Hi, I'm new here

I guess, I'm new here to this site but I'm not new to trying to get healthier. I quit smoking on the 21st of January, and started working out the following Monday. I was doing the treadmill, wii-fit. Started losing and then bam, half back on. I use resistance bands also. I am trying to learn what carbs are, protein and all that other good and bad stuff. I printed off a bunch of list, good food, bad food. Its almost like having a fulltime job!! I have some menus that I made to give me ideas, because during the day when I get hungry, I think I'm like most people, you just want to EAT, not take the time to fix something thats better for you. So I have been planning ahead and using the menus to keep me eating without going overboard when I'm starving. Well, not really but sometimes I think I am. I'm going to give this a shot, I had my goal as losing 20lbs by my birthday and I guess its not healthy so I'm going to work on losing 12 lbs. My birthday is at the end of March. We will see. I feel so much better when I work out. *shakes head* how did I let myself get like this.....!!!

Hi, I'm new too! I just started on this site on Monday. Congrats on quitting smoking! I'm trying to lose a 5-7 lbs. by the middle of March. I'm using the calorie counter on this site and journaling, and I think that helps my self-awareness. I also have a gym membership that I have not been using nearly enough, so I'm working on that as well. I know what you mean about just wanting to EAT when you're hungry, and that's when all the naughty stuff looks even tastier! My downfall is snacking late at night Good luck to you!
