Hi I'm new and I have a question....
Why is my 'burned' calorie number so high? I'm not complaining really...just confused. I only walked about an hour and a half and it's over 3,000! If someone could please explain the system to me I would very, very much appreciate it!!!!!

What's your age, weight, type of lifestyle, etc.? How much did it say that you burned JUST for the walk? |
Mostly sitting with some movement, 18, 5'9 and 168 pounds. I have NO idea what the ideal is for my height.

I think the Fitday rate for calculating how many calories you burn during the day is really skewed. It said something like I could eat 2300 a day not including any exercise. I know that is inflated. I played with the settings to change my average daily requirement to be a BMR around 1650 because that's a better reflection of what I truly burn in a day, not including exercise.

Add the hours you sleep to your activity log, this seems to bring FitDay's numbers closer to what other online calculators say. Without sleep, FitDay's numbers were way too high for me.

:oThanks so much! I was really getting frustrated with my calorie burn being wrong.

Where/How do you add the hours of sleep? I couldn't find it...:(
|
Perhaps if I read better... You said to add it to the "activity" log. D'Oh! Thanks!
