Smile Newbie Here!!

Hi everyone, my name is Yvonne
Today is the first day for me I'm really excited about
doing this.
I do have a question thou.. I have arthritis in my right ankle pretty
bad. I need some exercises I can do that won't kill my feet, since I can't run.
I ride bike when the weather permits. Been doing crunches and
push ups. I also have weights and a bench that I can use too.


Any suggestions will be welcome

Hi Yvonne,

welcome to Fitday and congrats on your decision to change your lifestyle! Sorry to hear about your medical condition. What you could try is swimming or aqua fitness. If you have access to a rowing machine rowing might be an option, too.

Hi Yvonne,
Welcome!

Have you thought about trying Yoga or Pilates? I just picked up a DVD at the library called "Pilates Complete for Inflexible People", LOL. The name of it just made me chuckle because I am definitely in that category. I'm not sure how good the instructor is -- but I'm willing to give it a try.

Also, water aerobics & swimming shouldn't be too hard on your ankle.
