Not entirely new.....
So I joined FitDay and was doing fantastic. I was losing weight in a healthy way for once. I was running almost every day and going to the gym. I felt great and was doing wonderful things for myself including some participation on here in the forums.
And then I literally got run over by a truck.
Oct 22, 2013 I was driving back on base and a Ford Ranger ran over my Honda Civic leaving me with massive head trauma, lacerations to my face and arm, and a broken hip.
The past year has been spent learning how to walk again. I went from a wheelchair to a walker, (at 33, the comments about breaking a hip this young were hilarious!) to a cane to walking by myself (April) and finally, two months ago, I started running again.
I weigh less now then I did when I last was on here but that is due to major muscle atrophy. My goal is to drop 17 lbs still and to tone.
Twice a week I am still in physical therapy and I exercise every day.
I look forward to being a part of this group again!
