Howdy!
Hey y'all! This is Mary, 32, wife, mother, military member (USAF). I went through an intense few months recently where I was in constant pain and gained weight. After the military dr's wanted to rip out my uterus I finally demanded to go to a specialist and found out I have IBS (Bless those military dr's hearts!!!! They are convinced it has to be girl parts every time!). My cycle of pain and eating fast food because I could not stand up long enough to cook put about 20 lbs on me since February and I am fighting to take it off now. The specialist told me I was eating everything wrong for me and that my drinking to ease the pain was in turn just causing more pain. She also told me the weight I gained was hurting me even as well because my frame is not used to carrying this much weight.
I am here to track my food intake and I have already seen how much more I eat than I thought just by logging yesterdays food. Wow! And I thought I was not eating too much before I changed my diet! I am away from my family right now on military orders (stateside). I get to see them about six days a month right now and I am taking out my depression on myself by exercising constantly. I did not run this morning because my legs are aching from yesterday but I will hit the track later today. Looking forward to learning more about what I am feeding to myself and hopefully seeing some major changes in my health and body. |
Welcome! Good luck with all your efforts - it's never that easy, is it? It's amazing how many calories are packed in food in beverages.

Thanks! You are not kidding about the calories!
