My 42nd wedding anniversary on the 24th, Hope's (31st?) anniversary on the 25th, Mel-Mc's birthday on the 26th and our pal Pam (Run/Bike/Ski) who used to be a regular poster in our group. Anyone else have things to celebrate this week?
My way of lightening up is to ease back into exercise which I have been neglecting. I'm going to take baby steps--8 miles of aerobic walking however I get it in. Nutrition goals same as always and I'll post that tomorrow.
Libby, good idea to squeeze the lemon into your water. Nice loss! Well done!
Bonnie, welcome!Tracking everything you eat is a wonderful goal! Kudos on making your goal for the whole week yesterday! LOL
Donna, couldn't type yesterday? You OK? Yeah, thanks for delighting in my account of grandson's wedding. It was fun to share that with my pals here. Hey, girl, kudos on your calorie deficit. -174 a day average is something to be proud of, even if it's not what you aimed for. Veggies: kudos! 256 cholesterol would be great for me--I usually aim for 250g or less. I'm gonna be better this week, so we'll keep tabs on each other on that. My bigger problem, though, is sat fat and exercise. Aw, how sweet of your honey to make you eggs and shrimp.
Oh, that's so neat about the laser hair removal--in the places you had it done.
I didn't write it down but made a personal goal to be more patient with my 11 year old granddaughter, discussing why she is not minding me rather than just yelling first. She and I need to work on communication skills with each other.
Kocial, really great goal. I LIKE THAT!
Hope, thanks for starting us off. Nice goals. I do intend to lighten up this week.
Robin, I'm not gonna ask about what gross thing happened possibly due to the fat flush water--I started mine today. I'm guessing it may have to do with the fat breaking up and being flushed out in a way you didn't expect. Sometimes when my water retention bursts loose all at once it er, um, "comes out elsewhere." My fat flush water is modified because you said yours tasted more like cucumber. Clementines are a perfect substitute--aren't they small tangerines? I just got seedless oranges. My water tastes like half grapefruit, half cucumber, with just a hint of orange citrus and the mint taste isn't there at all, but the water tastes nice to me. Not delicious, but pleasantly "scented" with a bit of flavor.
In a 64 oz. pitcher I put:
-- a big thick slice of grapefruit (1/3-1/2 inch thick peel on, and that slice cut in half)
--1/2 a seedless orange, peeled, but peel added to the water for an extra kick of flavor
--1/2 peeled, thin sliced cucumber
--two generous sprigs of spearmint that I bruised to allow more oil to be infused into the water, but I can't taste it.
I'm making my water the night before and letting it set in the fridge overnight.
