Thank you all for the well wishes and prayers. My doctor said that it could be from high blood pressure and diabetes both of which will improve as I lose weight. You guys are doing great. Today was a better day for me too calorie wise but still no exercise and I am back up to 181 in two days
Why is it so easy to gain and so hard to lose?
Calories under 1100: M-1190 T-1338 W-881
Water 6 glasses: Yes, No, Yes
Exercise: No, No, No,

Yes Carolyn, if Arthur can do it anyone can. His story is so inspiring and I think that an inspiring story is something we all need once in a while to motivate us.
Libby, you are going through so much and yet it comes down to the weightloss. Be patient, and stick with it!
Well son's grad tomorrow. Making all kinds of (food porn). Small portions that's my mantra.

Robin-i got your walking challenge. What's the deal? Most miles before Sunday? I plan on going to the gym all weekend, seeing as BF will be working and I took a long weekend off from work

Walking challenge: how we did it before was agreed to a distance and all just tried to meet it (rather than try to outdo each other). Another time, we all set our own distance but just kinda encouraged/nudged each other. I've been calculating in km but I can certainly switch to miles, I am old enough to remember when Canada was not metric lol.
How about we all try to do 10 miles this week?

Yep, agree with Mike, sounds like you are thinking "tri". That would be awesome. I did one last year and the year before, just the short one "Try-a-tri". It is really good to train for. I was running, cycling, weight training and swimming for months . This year, sadly no, even though I have lost weight I have had physical problems that have stopped me from doing this. That being said, I am up for swim, bike and run (well walk for now) but I think it might stop others from joining us on the walking challenge. Lets just do the walking challenge and then others can participate and do whatever they want for other exercises. Running should count though. Are you swimming? There are other swimmers here and some who plan to (Donna). I generally swim 1-2x/week. I do early bird swimming and it's only open 2x/week.
Mike, need some motivation, watch Arthur's transformation again .

Tori: Nevermind the walking challenge. How about that plan to go to the gym "all weekend"?
I must admit when I realized I didn't need to get to The Gym to exercise it really did change my life. Yes, going to the gym is good, but for me it became a psychological barrier. So even though I should go, I take heart that the options for exercise are still pretty extensive.
Carolyn: I should have put a footnote my earlier quote, it was a reference to being back from Purgatory. (The last line of Dante's Purgatorio: "Puro e disposto a salire a le stelle.")
