NOLA misses you both. GF was saying she could almost hear the 2nd line come by calling y'all's name. (How many people do you think just went to google "2nd line"?)
I am ready to book my flight back!!! Look, Mike, I multi-quoted!!!

Soup and tea and rest: magic. I am feeling a lot better!
If you do, let me know how they are!!! Using you as a guinea pig? Ummmm, didn't mean to make it sound that way...

Hi Hope glad that you are feeling better!

And Jezzie hope things are going ok with your back.

Mike, wow, that's an amazing loss. You must be feeling it already.

Darlene, you have done so well with the walking, I am envious. Despite working so late.

Nobe I hope the app is working out, what bad luck on the pedometers.

Well I put in 3.8 k earlier this week and then nothing, nothing for the past 3 days. I guess I need to get it in gear Darlene if I am gonna make 10 by Sunday. Overall so far it's been a good week diet wise. I only broke the no take out once and it was a reasonable choice that was still within my calorie limit. Pretty good for an insane week. I am expecting a more settled weekend, and will catch up some work (e.g., course prep and marking) that didn't happen this week.

Not logging or posting goals today. The app recorded 0 steps at work. Three customers yelled at me. The bread man brought brownies. Hubby made ravioli and meatballs for dinner. The probiotic yogurt I've been having for breakfast seems to be wreaking havoc on my digestive system (or something is). One of my favourite coworkers had a stroke. Will start again tomorrow.

Hot damn, you're catching on! (Left field rambling coming) You should see how thick my beard is now! I guess you'll see it when I post my two week pics. I think for my one month pics I'm going to look like I belong on Duck Dynasty. I can't believe I last this long, I refuse to dye or trim it so it's really starting to look like crap.

My clothes are starting to loosen back up. I feel great, amazingly my energy level has been good and I haven't felt super hungry. I have had some slight cravings for warm chocolate chip cookies, fresh out the over. I swear the other day I could actually smell them but thankfully we had none. (<--food porn). It feels really good to feel like I'm in control of the food again instead of giving in and letting it control me. Congrats on the distance!!

Nobe, try the mapmyrun app, unless you are somehow trying to count steps. I'm sorry to hear about your coworker. I'll pray for a solid recovery.

Mike, you rock!! How's Tori doing? And Mern seems to be MIA also.

A good day food wise yesterday. Had cereal and greek yogurt for breakfast and was able to keep carbs to 130. Exercise has been practically nil this week so hope to do better next week. Was tempted to eat c-r-a-p due to emotional day but knew the only person I would be punishing is myself. I did get all my water in also.

Next week will be bad since it's my Mom's bday and she is making treats on Wed and we are going out for brunch on Sun.

Nobe

Sorry to hear about your very bad day. So hard to stay on track with health goals when you are worried and upset.

Jenn- does it work for you to have a little bit of the treat? Or is it better not to touch it? I hear such different opinions about this. For me, right now, it has to be complete abstinence. As far as the brunch, I mentioned to you before about eating before you go. I realize that that ends up with some waste of money, especially if it's buffet. I did this for chinese buffet so ended up paying 20 bucks for maybe 5 dollars worth of food. Just a different mindset I guess.

Yes we have some MIAs this week. And the week started off so strong.

Hi guys, just checking in.

I am still slammed at work; next week will be better. Well...better not jinx it. I have to do a presentation this afternoon at a conference and then I can start to get caught up and feel a little more put together before Monday comes.

So, that's why I've not been real active here. Food was great Mon-Wed; good to fair Thursday. Yesterday was so crazy I didn't have time for lunch and someone left me a bag of truffles . Yes, I had two. But only two, with ten others winking at me, so that is a marginal success.

The boy traveled to a team tourney this weekend so the hubs and I had a nice dinner out last night. I had salmon, which came with farro (never heard of it) cooked with apples and cranberries. Neither was a poor choice health-wise, but probably prepared with more calories than I would do at home; no way to know. Sadly, we did also have the lobster dip and flatbread BUT I watched the hubs put away chocolate-cinnamon bread pudding with a cherry-maple sauce and ice cream and didn't even have a taste. So I guess yesterday can be considered a mixed bag.

...and there is your food porn for the day . Our weather has turned indescribably beautiful and once I finish this conference I'm going for a nice, long walk. Hope you all have a lovely day!
