Unfortunately, I didn't lose anything this week--on the plus side, I didn't gain anything! Sorry guys.
It's been busy around here with Valentine's Day, the weekend, Mardi Gras, the grand kids, unexpected company, and the death of a close friend. Now it's the weekend again and already it's brought some extended-family drama, the grandkids, shopping to be done, prepping food for the meal for family/friends after the funeral and a birthday party for the boys to attend. No wonder I'm tired! Catch y'all later! Vicki

Default Easter Challenge

HI, im joining in a little late but my goal is to lose 10 pounds by Easter time! That would be a great head start on the spring and summer seasons! I just a little treadmill that folds up and my exercise goals are to get started on that tredmill and do daily walks early in the morning and work my way up to a jog and then running! I found some scenic videos on youtube id like to try and pretend that im out side running thru the woods and stuff like that! I also have several home fitness dvds and want to get back into those and work on some strength training! I work from home so im sitting A LOT and not burning enough calories, even when i use my home fitness dvds, im still not burning enough calories which is why i bought the treadmill! I was on a good steady flow of exercising and trying to eat better for about a month and started to feel really great but then last weekend our water pipes froze and burst somewhere outside under ground and have a landlord that is not really taking action very fast and here i am a week later and still nothing has been done so im guessing i will be with out running water for a long time due do a combination of a stupid landlord, freezing temps and snow storms! So i need to take my mind off of that and get into my fitness anyway.

Not to jump the gun (I'm just really bored after being snowed in for almost a week) but once the Easter challenge is done, are we going to have another? It's really helped me to stay focused since I know that there are others doing the same and that are trying to reach a collective goal. Just curious.

Thanks for putting this all together and figuring up our amounts each week Debbie!

Hi Christy! I've been thinking the same thing....another challenge after this one would be fun! I really feel like it helps to keep me in line as well and focused on my goals. I'm think maybe a Canada Day/Independence Day challenge? Canada Day is July 1st and one of my favourite holidays! With Independence Day being only 3 days later, I thought maybe this would be a good target date for all of us. It would also be 13 weeks after the Easter Challenge which is a good amount of time to set some serious goals. What do you think?

I can take credit for coming up with the idea of the Easter Challenge, but I can't take credit for coming up with the idea of a group challenge goal....that credit goes to Libby! Thank you Libby!!! It was a great idea!

Debbie you were reading my mind with another challenge. I was thinking that a Canada Day/Independence Day challenge was a great time frame for another one. I'll admit that I didn't know when Canada Day was until you posted that but it's great that it's right around the US Independence Day so we can do something significant to many of our members.

Can't wait to finish this one and see where we are and then to start the next one.

I think this would be a great idea. It helps keep me focused on completing smaller goals and it is fun to check in each week with everyone.

I can't believe I'm about to say this but I'm actually looking forward to weighing in tomorrow morning. I've done pretty good this week and can't wait to help contribute to our team weight loss. Got my motivation back!
