Fight Emotional Eating and Sugar Cravings
I think a couple of the hardest things for me to do when I started my weight loss journey were to stop emotional eating and to curb sugar cravings at night.
It was really a step by step project for me. It started with something that didn't really work, which led to someone that helped, which then all changed when I had to stop eating certain foods anyway...
I started out by keeping the junk food out of the house. But then I would just drive to get it when the craving got bad enough. So, I was pretty much safe from emotional eating, because when I am depressed I don't like to leave the couch, which means no trip to the store.
To fight those unbearable night cravings I opted to try out a Holistic Nutrition Coach. This helped, except that when my husband snacked I then felt I needed a snack too... so I'd have some of what he was having.
That ended when I went Gluten Free, and he didn't! Problem solved!
It didn't happen over night, and I think I needed the steps I took in order to be fully successful.
