I must know 10 different ways to fondu and every last one of them is calorie and fat laden in the worst possible way, oil, cheese, chocolate etc etc. Have you considered doing a pork tenderloin instead? Maybe a nice roast chicken with all the trimmings?

Do you have any good recipes for your ideas?
Something I can maybe throw in the crockpot in the am?

Sexy Pink Pate
It's not quite fondue, but you could:
puree white beans (canellini), with roasted red peppers (or jarred pimentos - roasting your own is a pain, but they do taste better!), add some lemon juice and spices, put it in your fondue pot, and serve veggies on the forks. The white bean / red pepper mix is tasty, and a cute pink color, and you can add lots of different flavors. I use this mix instead of mayo.

I think Italian food is sexy...pastas, antipasto, wine, dipping bread into olive oil and garlic (which is supposed to be an aphrodisiac ). With tomato-based sauces and wheat pasta, it's not too hard of a hit to work into your macros. Maybe something Italian and chocolate and fruit fondue for dessert?
If you're set on fondue, though, I found a good recipe for reduced fat queso on the Cabot cheese website. It turned out well and maybe you could modify it for fondue?
Good luck!

great idea-
heart shaped pankcakes with fresh fruit on top. I LOVE the fiber one pancake mix..yumyum! and some type of meat- maybe turkey bacon.
Anyone think of any good appetizers for this? nothing goes really well with breakfast for an appetizer- maybe i could do something completly different like...
something salty for him...any ideas?

It's not fondue, but I don't think there's anything that says "I Love You" more than some nice aged/marbled tenderloin coated with some olive oil and seared on a sea-salted pan! Not for the vegetarians, of course! I think that's what I'm going to cook for V day, anyway.

Michael
