Default Tums

I don't drink enough milk, so I chew a couple of tums after supper. The label says there are 750 mg of calcium carbonate per tab. The fine print at the bottom of the label says there are 300 mg of 'elemental' calcium per tab. Does anyone know how much of either I can count towards my RDA? Should I eat something for supper that might increase the amount absorbed by my body?
