how much is too much fiber?
Ok so im wonder how much is too much fiber because all everyone talks about or if i ask them they tell me to ad fiber to my diet. I just dont want to over do it, i started eating pistachios and figs, as snacks but not sure what else i should be eating or even how much i am trying to lose weight but also be heathier too. Can anyone help me out please?
14 grams of fiber for every 1000 calories you eat (recommended by the Institute of Medicine, according to Webmd.)
The Webmd article says to slowly build your fiber intake. Vegetables, fruits, nuts, and grains are good sources - the pistachios and figs you mention are probably just more expensive than some other choices.
