Default goal vs. actual in progress tab

Please explain how to interpret the difference between my goal and actual in calorie budget. I see the goal calories burned each day but then there is a different actual number and seems my calories consumed draw off that column. Where is the "actual" number coming from? Seems like my PC version only uses the goal settings. Also using same info on web version vs. PC version they both come up with different calories burned values. I changed the default on web version to reflect PC version so they are the same. Thank you for your time and assistance.
