Default Overview - Known bug

The average calories burned value from activities on the overview screen always stays the same. It always show's today's value whether you select this week, last week, last two weeks, last 4 weeks.

This is a known bug, it has been reported before.

Can someone from fitday acknowledge that it is on the fix list?
Is there a performance issue that prevents presenting the information?
I would imagine that the information could be selected in the same manner that the average calorie is calculated.

If someone could take a look at this, it might be able to be fixed in ... er .. 5 minutes?

Hi Paul,

I checked the "today" and the "week" summary.
I averaged the calories and activity values and compared against the
summary.

It is handling everything I tried precisely.
I'm assuming the 4 weeks and other options are likewise working for now.
It's a brilliant system and now this issue doesn't make it look otherwise now. Great ... thanks much!

The only situation that might be something of a headscratcher occurs
when there is a day that was not updated. The system adds a default
activity value but no caloric value. So if there is a day or two missing
in the range, the balance is skewed in favor of calorie burn - unless you assume the person is fasting in which case it is accurate

The ideal solution might be to have an "ignore day" checkbox or an
"ignore missing days" option so that these days are completely removed from all calculations, and only updated days are totaled and averaged. This could be a fair amount of work, and probably isn't neccessary given a fairly simple workaround. To skew the results evenly one can manually enter a caloric food value matching the calorie expenditure on any missed days.

However, if there is another approach that can be taken, I would be interested in hearing it.

Thanks again!

Larry

I have a similar problem -- When I try to look at my "progress" or my calorie restriction, it uses my base activity, instead of an actual. Thats fine for a theoretical calorie restriction, but if I am working out, that should show up in my progress.
