Fitday for Mac

I bought the Fitday Premium a few years ago and used it on my PC. Now I still have my pc but my main computer is my Mac Laptop. Wish Fitday would make a version for it - their free online version is great but I really enjoyed using the Premium version. Anyone heard if they are working on a Mac Version?

I quote every word - I even bought the software years ago whilst using a pc - but now all my computers are macs, I have only recently come back to using Fitday (free version) and I cannot believe that in 2010 there is still NO Mac version - I had previously asked about a Mac version and the answer was negative - I really don't understand in this day and age when Macs are are so frequent - perhaps if enough people rant about it something might be done ;)

vanessa_40 02-19-2010 03:04 AM

I wish i had read this earlier. I just bought a Mac last week and wrote to them about how i had the program on my PC and i needed it for my Mac now.
Oh well....

kalliope999 02-19-2010 08:51 AM

I just wanted to add another vote for a Mac version of the software.

I'll be wanting a mobile app, too, for either an Android phone or an iPhone (haven't decided yet -- I have a couple of months before my upgrade).

I am a die-hard Mac person for many, many years - just started using this program recently, like it for the most part, but there are some features I wondered if I could get in the upgrade. From reading this forum and now knowing that there is no Mac version, I will definitely not waste my money on the upgrade.
The provider should get with the times, Mac's are everywhere now!

Ditto! Give us FitDay Mac!

mags432 02-20-2010 07:54 AM

Macs - Yes please!

Dear Fitday,
Please make a program for macs. I ditto all of the other votes.

Thanks!

AniyaJ 02-23-2010 03:30 AM

Oh how nice to see everyone moaning lol :D We want fitday mac version!!! I hope someone from fitday gives us some kind of positive answer and something to look forward to - it would mean bad marketing and customer service on their part if they don't - i mean here are a bunch of people who will pay for a Mac version. That said this is a really good free version ads and all which doesn't bother me at all, but I remember the extras I had with the pc version and I wouldn't hesitate buying a Mac version - food for thought ;)

schadow 03-01-2010 02:02 AM

Can add me to the ranks of those who will buy a Mac version if there ever is one available (iPhone app too)! In the meantime, the free version works more than well enough.

rabourn 03-01-2010 06:43 AM

I'd like a version for Mac too if the interface were very Mac-like. I've seen some rather badly cobbled together Mac versions of PC apps that were really awful. Meanwhile the web version is OK (although I hate how I have to sign in again and again during the day).

jerbee99 04-10-2010 02:42 PM

I also agree; I purchased FitDay PC years ago and used it daily to reach my goals. Now that I've upgraded to Macs for my photo business I never use my PC's anymore...

Hell, I'd be willing to shell out another $20 for a mac version all over again if it was quality programming... it seems almost lazy to not have a version for the Macintosh market...

AniyaJ 04-16-2010 08:54 PM

Why is it that no one from the fitday team ever answers these requests. I have sent numerous e-mails and all I get is there is no mac version fullstop - whoever is in charge there they are lacking - I have since found another programme very similar and made very well (which also has an iPhone app to go with it) - I think a lot of people will try other things there is so much competition these days and to not have a mac version in 2010 (and worse still not even a friendly answer) is none the less pretty poor in my books....I would suggest fitday pulled their socks up before they hear "I told you so"

lantrix 06-12-2010 03:16 PM

Agree - Mac version is needed

I'm in the same boat. I used to use the free web version, then Purchased Fitday 1. I started using Macs 7 years ago, and continue to use Fitday only because I have XP on VMWare for work on my mac.

It's difficult on the go to enter what one is eating, even when cooking in the Kitchen, having to go back to Fitday often to enter details.

The Killer Combo for me would be a native Mac version which Syncs to an iPhone/iPod Touch version of the application.

I've held off on the upgrade to V2 of Fitday as it's JAPCA - Just another PC Application :-) and Fitday 1 meets my needs for now.

If/When a Mac version hits the site - I'll happily pay upwards of $50 for a Mac/iPhone combination of the application.

I couldn't agree more! My top priority would be an iphone app. But I would happily pay $50 for an iphone + Mac combo. I really hope fitday is listening. Why would you want me to use your competitor sites or your free website when I am begging you to allow me to give you my money??? Please make it happen.

heytred 07-22-2010 05:19 PM

My vote's in! If they had a FitDay Mac I would get it that day, hands down.

sarkai90 07-22-2010 07:03 PM

Me too... I'd buy it in a heartbeat! Are you listening FitDay?!?

greengoddess70 10-27-2010 10:39 AM

I would also pay extra for a Mac version! I also have a PC but my Mac is here in the kitchen where the food is! It is a shame that software makers don't realize that software should be available no matter what system you are running.

LSleeter 10-29-2010 04:06 PM

YES!!! FITDAY FOR MAC, iPHONE, & iPAD PLEASE!!!

snapdog 11-09-2010 01:10 PM

Apple is now the second largest capitalized company in the US. Its innovation is the industry standard setter. IMac market share is growing. Time to get a FITDAY Mac version!

jrobin27 11-22-2010 04:07 AM

Give us a Mac version! Give us a Mac version! Give us a mac version! Seriously look how much money you will make.

01gt4.6 11-22-2010 10:11 AM

We can look into this and see what can be done.

Norvanne 12-20-2010 08:32 AM

FitDay please address this. I would have bought it years ago.
In the meantime, I suppose we mac users can run the software through Bootcamp. It can't be any slower than the online version.

Crazycanuck-69 01-19-2011 06:19 AM

Thousands More

Include me in the (likely thousands) of people who want a version for Mac.

01gt4.6 01-19-2011 06:34 AM

I have not heard any updates on this.

mfdebruijn 01-20-2011 07:49 PM

Mac version pretty please

Add my name to all the mac users who'd like to buy a mac version. I bought the pc version years ago but would be willing to buy a mac version again. ::confused: Is it not possible to develop a mac version soon? please?

cansel65 01-21-2011 04:57 AM

Add me to the list!

I have a MacBook Pro and I love it - I do not run Bootcamp so I want an actual program for the Mac

Thanks!

FitDay for Macs?

I, too, wish FitDay software were available for Macs. It's cumbersome to use FitDay online, mostly because of the delays in loading... Is the company aware they have a market for this product?

SpaceCubes 04-05-2011 11:53 PM

Any news?

Any progress on Fitday for Mac?

Pretty please? :)

ocabral 04-07-2011 03:30 PM

Add me to the list too!

I too only own macs and would love to have a mac version of the software.

sltorrant 04-08-2011 12:23 PM

fitday not working properly

I have a mac and since becoming a member have been fairly pleased with this on-line database to track daily food and activities, etc...however for the past two days I have not been able to post my entries. It seems like there is more advertising and ever since then, the service has not worked properly. I'll give it a few days and then look for another service to use. Any suggestions?

pcmooreq 06-15-2011 08:14 AM

I see iPhone fit day. Still no Mac

Any new word as to whether someone is working on a Mac version? I switched over, and have a virtual PC on my macbook pro, but is not worth the hassle just to run fit day software.

ibobi 06-16-2011 06:06 AM

At this time, a Mac version is not in the tech pipeline, though we are of course aware there is a desire for one.

Definitely Interested but...

My home PC is a mac so add me to the list that would be interested in a mac version.

Something for the iPhone/iPad would be awesome also. Love the site so far!

I am a Mac user, and I approve of this thread! :D

Although if you really wanted, you CAN run the PC version on your Intel Mac. :p

mirmarter 08-01-2011 06:27 PM

updates on mac version?

"We can look into this and see what can be done."

any news yet? IŽd buy the software for my mac as well!!

fitday for mac

It is September 2011 and it appears there still is no FitDay pc for Mac??? I have purchased and used the FitDay PC for years and years, but surfing on a Mac is safer and wish I could keep my stuff on the Mac.

Fitday for Mac?

I've used Fitday on and off since it first began. During this time I've switched from PC to Mac. As I had purchased the PC software version - I'm a bit confused why there isn't a MacOSx version of the software available after all these years. In a way...I feel like I wasted my money!

Hey, Fitday people. Any chance of giving us Mac users a computer version? If you need help converting the software...I'm happy to lend a hand!

Oh, and thanks for the iPhone version! It could be a tad easier to use but for the most part...it's pretty good. Thanks!
