Lack of Admin & Mod participation = Spammer's Heaven
 

I'm just a regular guy that has been fighting my ass off to rid this board of the new wave of spam that we get.

I guess that we have a legitimate reason to complain about Admin and moderators not being active. It would be nice if they made their presence known, maybe that would cut back on the spam???!!!

This is what I've gathered... it looks like this board was started a year ago. Admin, got it going, some people volunteered their time to moderate, but never gave much time. I like to thank all them for getting this going and at least having good intentions, however, a little participation would go a long way. It seems like I created enough of a stir to wake enough of them up on 11/02/10 but they are back asleep and the spammers are still at it.

It's a damn shame the lack of care here. I've offered MY TIME to be an ACTIVE moderator and have yet to get a response. This board is going down hill quickly and it's too bad b/c there are a lot of people that do care, ther just so happen to be "reguler" members and not the "Forum Leaders".

Those of you that know me, know I'm passionate, speak the truth and don't sugar coat things. We are all adults here, right? I would not be surprised if me posting this stuff, gets me banned, that would prove my point that THEY DON'T CARE and will continue to let the spam go on... just don't bother them about it!

I agree...I hate seeing this type of spamming cluttering up the boards. I belong to another forum that gets spam in a folder that I frequent and I hit report and majority of the time they do nothing about it. Then if we members post things that do not belong we get deleted without even a warning! It burns my a** this type of stuff goes on like they just don't care.

I went on their Facebook page and posted the issues we are having and they said they would pass it along to correct it. I won't hold my breath but I think if we can all post there as well, it will get their attention.

Is it just me, or did that "Forum Feedback and Support" category just appear under the Men's Only area? Granted, it says "never," but I'm choosing to be optimistic that perhaps someone will be "live" and able to address some issues...would love that!

I looked and didn't see it, I just figured that you lost your mind. Maybe you need to talk to someone... ;)

You're not crazy. I see it too but it doesn't let me do anything so something must be in the works. I am serious though...anyone with Facebook, go on their main page and post that there are issues galore. It will get their attention and hope they can make some changs finally if they are getting negative reviews from users.
