Default i have a question

I am using Break Pal to exercise while at work at my desk. These are short 2 or 3 minute exercises. For example, the one i just did has you raise your arms, then as you lift a knee you bring your arms down & twist. What should i log this as in my activity journal here on fitday?

I don't think 2-3 minutes of movement really does anything more than getting your circulation going. Just a guess but I would think that only burns about the same amount of cals as taking a restroom break.

LOL But the thing is, you do them every 1/2 hr and according to the studies I found it is the equiv. of a 45 min cardio after the end of the day. maybe i'll just log it as such at the end of the day.

If you are getting your heart rate into a training zone, then maybe it would count as "cardio," but it seems like a stretch to me. I agree with vabeachgirlNYC on this one. Even if you do 45 minutes consecutively of raising an arm and bending it to your knee, it still doesn't burn too many calories, unless you do it fast enough to raise your heart rate significantly and break a sweat. For logging, I would probably total up the time and use the category "mild stretching."
